about

I wrote this song about my father who died very suddenly out of the blue. Though this was years ago now, it turned my world upside down and I wrote this song to try to express the confusing and complicated feelings surrounding grief. I hope this can bring comfort and peace to anyone who is going through this.

lyrics

Branches spread, weave and thread, so I can't see the sky
I keep on straight ahead, I know I can't hide
Leaves dry, watch them fly
Circle spiral fall again
I know I'll find you,
I just don't know when

You're gone but you're still in me
Your hands, my hands
Your eyes, my eyes
Always falling a little behind

Without You

Missteps mistakes, wrong turns wrong ways
No words, only sounds this deep underground
Too many todays, not enough tomorrows
Space and time tied up in sorrow

You're gone but you're still in me
Your hands, my hands
Your eyes, my eyes
Always falling a little behind

Without You
